Get!T v0.1 - download the unzip files on PSP June 23, 2008

Homebrew developer Maxy_PSP from Team Chilt dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Homebrew Development Forum to release a simple yet convenient homebrew application for the Sony PlayStation Portable. The initial release, Get!T version 0.1, allows users to download files using an interface that utilizes the PSP OSK.

To let you in on what Maxy_PSP came up with, here’s the feature list of Get!T:

Since this is the earliest version, homebrew app Get!T reportedly has a bug that freezes the PSP after users encounter an error message when trying to download. There’s also also a good chunk in Maxy_PSP’s to-do list, such as allow the homebrew app to unrar files and play music files. We’re sure to keep tabs on Get!T as it shapes up, so watch this space for updates!

PSP Fatmspatch - Lag Fix May 29, 2008

If you already have Custom Firmwares 3.80 m33 - 3.90 m33 installed on your PSP you may already noticed that some games like Tekken Dark Resurrection are lagging which can greatly affect your gaming. There’s a quick fix for that by changing your PSP’s game speed to 333mhz and using Sony NP9660 UMD Mode. The downside when you set the speed to 333mhz are it consumes more battery therefore the shorter the play time and the faster the PSP heats up.

Fatmsmod is a patch/fix that loads the fat memory stick driver of 3.71 in 3.80/3.90 to make memory stick reading work better. fatmsmod of 3.71 usually works better because it has a better cache system, and usually reads on bigger blocks. As noted from the readme file included in the patch it uses more kernel memory, and it is unknown if it will have any kind of secondary effect running this module in 3.80/3.90 The lags in np9660 no umd mode won’t probably be solved, as that is a different problem.

PSP 3.90 M33 Custom Firmware Upgrade May 29, 2008

You must already have custom firmware installed on your PSP.
To check if you have CFW go to Settings » System Settings » System Information.

If you are installing any firmware past 3.60 M33 you MUST UPGRADE first to 3.52 M33, and then 3.52 M33-3 to be allowed to upgrade. The only way to bypass this is to use Despertar Cementerio which requires a Pandora battery.
